In Memoriam: Murray Alan Corlett Vic 6T1
Murray Alan Corlett Vic 6T1 died peacefully in Toronto on February 14, 2016. A long-time member of the Victoria University community, he served Victoria as a member of the Board of Regents from 1999-2014, and served as Chair of the board from 2007-2010.
Murray strongly supported both Victoria and Emmanuel Colleges at alumni and student events. He and his wife, Katherine, have also established bursaries and scholarships for students at both Victoria and Emmanuel. A funeral will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Andrew's United Church, 117 Bloor St. E., Toronto, M4W 1A9. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Murray may be made to St. Andrew's United Church at the address above or by phoning 416-929-0811 x6. All donations will be directed to the Kids from St. Jamestown summer camp, a project run jointly by St. Andrew's and City Hope.
Murray will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Katherine and his children, Deirdre (Shane MacKay), Charles (Kari Abrams) and Bronwyn (Daniel Halloran). He was the proud grandfather of Alexander and Duncan MacKay, Leah and Rebecca Corlett, and Morgan Halloran.
Victoria University will fly the Flag will be flown at half-mast in honour of Murray Corlett on Friday, February 19, 2016.
