The mental health of students in university has been recognized as a pressing topic in higher education for over a decade. Many students arrive at university with mental health challenges and many students experience hurdles to mental wellness while they are here. More specifically during the pandemic, the role of technology in student mental health has become central. Technology paradoxically became both a solution and a problem. The explosive reliance on technology allowed schools, universities and businesses to remain in operation and kept us connected when we are alone. But it also insulated us from the world and isolated us from in-person interactions. All of this has left a lasting impression that has forever changed higher education.

Our 10th anniversary Minding Our Minds conference will focus on these incongruities of our developing relationship with technology.
