 Teaching Assistant: One Position

 

 VIC191Y1Y Artistic Creation and Public Issues: This course addresses social issues through the exploration of creative activity and the imaginative arts. Topics will be discussed from historical, ethical and philosophical perspectives, and might be considered either in a group or individually

 Expected course time: Tuesdays, 3-5 pm. 

Expected enrolment: 28

Dates of appointment: November 20 to December 5, 2017

Hours: 15 hours

Salary: The salary will be as per the CUPE agreement -$43.54 per hour.

 

Requirements: MA in Comparative Literature or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated knowledge of critical and cultural theory, diversity in racialized groups, and visual art relevant to the course.Scholarly expertise relevant to the course material (as shown, for example, by dissertation research). At least two years of prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in position(s) involving tutorials or as a Course Instructor.Evidence of effective teaching and communication skills.

 

Duties: Classroom teaching, preparation, email and consultation with students, consultation with instructor and course supervisor.
